Microscope

For the past three weeks we have been working with microscopes in our science lab! The first day in the lab we investigated the different types of microscopes we have and the different slides we have. We also started to fill out a KWL. A lot of us do not know much about a microscope except that some of our parents use them. We have a lot of questions that we want to learn about them before the unit is over. This Wednesday we will finish up and fill in all the information we have learned about them.

One activity that we did with them was very interesting. Miss Becki asked us to put on our mad scientist caps on and look into the microscopes. After showing us how to get more or less light and different lens we were able to look at three different types of cells. We took time while looking at the cells and drew what we saw. We could see the different colors and the different shapes the items were in the cell.
